Cavani could also make a return for the first time in a Red Devils shirt since the 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and will be desperate to get back amongst the goals for the Premier League side.
With his contract expiring at the end of the current season, the Uruguayan forward needs a solid last few matches to convince new boss Erik ten Hag to offer him a new deal.
The side have been plagued with injuries recently which hasn’t helped their form whatsoever. One step forward seems to be met with a couple of steps back and ten Hag will have a massive job to do in the summer.
Rangnick can secure Europa League football by winning their last three games, with a very faint chance of Champions League qualification, but this would require Arsenal and Tottenham to fade away significantly.
Any continental qualification will be a bonus for the incoming manager to get his teeth into, but the main aim is for three points against Brentford and see what happens from there.
Having both Fred and Cavani back will give the team and supporters a big boost.

It was when Kumble became only the second man to take all 10 wickets in a Test innings, Srinath was his teammate and Jayaprakash stood at Kumble’s end. Twelve years on, November 21, 2010 will be another day that neither Kumble, Srinath nor Jayaprakash are likely to forget.The two ex-cricketers find themselves opposite the umpire in one of the most closely-watched state cricket elections in India in a long while. Kumble is running for president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) against the incumbent, Srikanta Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, the former Maharaja of Mysore. Jayaprakash is no longer a neutral observer – he is up against Srinath for the post of secretary.Jayaprakash, though, does not think of himself as being in opposition to the cricketers, telling ESPNcricinfo, “I am not contesting against them. We are contesting together. It is just for the members to decide.”Of his battle for the post of secretary he says, “Of course it is one post and both of us are there, but whoever wins, we will work as a team, for the association. There is nothing like against or anything. وقال بركات في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر فضائية “المحور”: “المنتخب المغربي (يخوف) وأتوقع أن يظهر بمستوى مميز في الدور الثاني لكأس العالم”.
وتابع: “كنا نتمنى أن يواجه المنتخب المغربي نظيره اليابان أو كوستاريكا حتى تسهل مهمتهم في دور الـ16 مقارنة بمواجهتهم مع المنتخب الإسباني”.

Coma vantagem desfavorável no primeiro jogo, o Goiás começou o primeiro tempo pressionando o Anapolina. Logo, aos sete minutos, Eduardo Brock empurrou para o fundo das redes do goleiro Rodrigo Calaça. A torcida da equipe Colorada estava em peso no Serra Dourada. Com o incentivo, o time visitante melhorou no jogo e empatou, com atacante Preto, aos 30 minutos. A saída para o intervalo foi empatada.
Praticamente só o Goiás jogou no segundo tempo. Alviverde partiu para cima, e a Rubra quase não passou do meio-campo, nos 20 minutos iniciais. Com isso, o Esmeraldino conseguiu desempatar a partida, com Pedro Bambu, levando a decisão para os pênaltis. O goleiro até chegou a fazer defesa, mas bola já havia entrado. Com o gol, o Esmeraldino mostrou intensidade nos minutos finais para tentar levar vaga à final sem disputa de pênaltis, mas não evitou.

وحققت سلمى علي، لاعبة منتخب مصر للبارا تايكوندو، الميدالية البرونزية في بطولة الجائزة الكبرى المقامة حاليا في مدينة الرياض بالمملكة العربية السعودية، بعد فوزها في مباراة تحديد المركزين الثالث والرابع على بطلة البرازيل.
ويقود المنتخب الوطني فنياً كل من: “أسامة السيد ومحمد مجدي ويرأس البعثة محمد عجيزة عضو مجلس إدارة الاتحاد المصري والمشرف على المنتخب الأول ويرافق البعثة المستشار محمد مصطفى رئيس مجلس إدارة الاتحاد”.
وفي سياق متصل قدم الدكتور أشرف صبحى وزير الشباب والرياضة التهنئة إلى “هنا جودة” لاعبة المنتخب الوطنى لتنس الطاولة، بعد فوزها بالمركز الأول والميدالية الذهبية بمنافسات الزوجي المختلط تحت 15 سنة، ببطولة العالم لتنس الطاولة للناشئين، المقامة حاليا في تونس.
واستطاعت هنا جودة الفوز على زوجي إسبانيا والبرتغال في المباراة النهائية رفقة زميلها الكازاخستاني “ألان كورمانجالييف” بثلاثة أشواط نظيفة، لتحقق المركز الأول بالبطولة لأول مرة بمنافسات الزوجي المختلط في تاريخ مصر ببطولات العالم.

تحدث جواو فيليكس، عن الفارق بين منتخب البرتغال وفريقه أتلتيكو مدريد، وكذلك أزمة كريستيانو رونالدو، قبل مواجهة المغرب في ربع نهائي كأس العالم قطر 2022، غدا السبت.
وبسؤاله، لماذا أنت أكثر سعادة باللعب للمنتخب البرتغالي مقارنة بأتلتيكو؟، قال فيليكس: “إنها طرق مختلفة للعب، عقليات مختلفة، فرق مختلفة، أنا هنا ألعب لبلدي، لقد كنت ألعب مع بعض زملائي منذ 10 سنوات. ألعب مع ديوجو دالوت منذ أن كان عمري 9 سنوات، إنهم لاعبون اعتدت اللعب معهم دائمًا، ونتحدث نفس اللغة، ونلعب معًا للأندية الأخرى والمنتخبات الوطنية، ويمثل تمثيل البرتغال متعة إضافية”.

وعن شعوره بأي قلق بشأن مستقبله في أتلتيكو مدريد؟، أجاب: “قلقي هو 0% بالنسبة لهذا الأمر، أركز هنا بشكل كامل على المنتخب الوطني، وأركز على لعب كأس عالم رائعة ومساعدة هذا الفريق، وإضفاء البهجة على البرتغاليين ولكل من شارك في هذه الرحلة، سأتحدث عن أتلتيكو مدريد عندما تنتهي كأس العالم”.
وواصل بالحديث عن كريستيانو رونالدو وهل أخبره أنه يريد ترك المنتخب لأنه لم يكن لاعبًا أساسيًا، قائلًا: “لن أجيب على ذلك، لقد تم بالفعل مناقشة هذا الأمر، أريد فقط أن أترك رسالة لجميع الشعب البرتغالي ووسائل الإعلام، تخوض البرتغال منافسة رائعة، وأعتقد أنه يجب علينا أن نكون أكثر اتحادًا وألا نحاول إفساد الأجواء التي نعيشها في المنتخب الوطني”.
وأكمل: “لا أشعر بهذا الالتزام بتمرير الكرة إلى كريستيانو، نحاول دائمًا أن نبذل قصارى جهدنا على أرض الملعب، ونمرر لزملائنا في الفريق عندما يكون هذا هو الحل الأفضل، لكن لكل شخص رأيه الخاص ويفسر اللعبة بطريقته الخاصة، كما قال خوسيه فونتي (لاعب سابق في المنتخب)، لكن ستكون لديه أسبابه وأنا أحترم ذلك، يعطينا كريستيانو أشياء لا نملكها عندما لا يكون في الجوار، نلعب بشكل مختلف، لكن الفريق دائمًا ما يكون جيدًا، ليس لأنني في الفريق أو لا”.
وعن مواجهة منتخب المغرب، قال فيليكس: “أشرف حكيمي لاعب ممتاز ومواجهته ستكون مثيرة وكل منا سيدافع عن ألوانه، حللنا نقاط قوة وضعف المنتخب المغربي ونعلم ما يجب علينا فعله للفوز”.
