Com cada vez menos espaço no Botafogo, Camilo está próximo de ser trocado com o Internacional. E o jogador que chegaria em General Severiano é o centroavante Brenner. A negociação tem avançado nas últimas horas, com detalhes contratuais e financeiros sendo discutidos entre os dois clubes. A informação inicial foi do “Globoesporte.com” e confirmada pelo LANCE!.

O interesse do Botafogo em Brenner é antigo. No começo do Brasileirão, o Alvinegro já havia consultado o Colorado quanto ao centroavante, que fora o artilheiro do Campeonato Gaúcho, com sete gols. Na época, ele estava próximo de ser emprestado ao futebol francês. Contudo, o interesse gaúcho em Camilo acabou intensificando ainda mais a possível vinda do atacante de 23 anos.

No caso do camisa 10, a situação é mais complexa: apesar de nome importante na campanha do ano passado – que culminou na Libertadores – Camilo não vem fazendo boa temporada. Ele perdeu espaço no time titular para João Paulo e Marcos Vinícius. Seu contrato iria até o meio de 2018, com o Alvinegro tendo iniciado as conversas pela renovação. Contudo, o interesse do Internacional acabou esfriando as negociações pela extensão do seu vínculo com o clube.

As conversas pela troca evoluíram nas últimas horas. O nome de Brenner foi oferecido pelo próprio Internacional ao Botafogo, que busca um centroavante no mercado. Entre Camilo e o clube gaúcho, quase tudo certo. Agora, ambos devem negociar também os valores finais da compensação financeira que seria paga pelo Colorado. A negociação de ambos seria definitiva – sem empréstimo – com o Glorioso mantendo50% dos direitos de Camilo e 20% do novo atacante.

One newspaper said that it had been forced into a “damage-limitation exercise” after the top 10 did not feature Sachin Tendulkar, ranked at No. 26.”This does not necessarily mean he is the 10th-best Test batsman or 18th-best ODI batsman in the history of the game,” an ICC spokesman said. “The rankings give an indication of how players peaked during their careers but do not give a full picture of those players’ level of consistency or longevity in the game.”The rankings are a great way to compare the performances of players but the all-time list of highest-rated players does not by itself rank those players in terms of true greatness. For that reason some players, who are considered by most observers of the game to be truly great, such as Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar, Wally Hammond, Greg Chappell and others, do not feature in the top 20 in the all-time high ratings.”But many remained far from convinced. “I am appalled at the ICC’s methods of devising the best batsman and the best bowler,” fumed Kapil Dev. “It is all the more disappointing when I see that the names of Gavaskar and Tendulkar do not figure on the top.”India’s former left-arm spinner Maninder Singh labelled the rankings a “joke” and said “sadistic” ICC officials should stop coming out with such lists. Five years ago Dinesh Daminda would have given up hopes of continuing his career as a cricketer when he suffered a nasty knee injury at practice and was confined to crutches. The incident occurred at the Bloomfield nets when Daminda, bowling with a pair of rubber soled boots, slipped and fell twisting his left knee. He had screws inserted in his knee to keep it intact and through a six-month period of rehabilitation recovered remarkably well to be ranked among the ten best fast bowlers in the country clocking speeds at around 135 kph. However last season, he had a recurrence of the injury which again pushed back his ambitions of playing for his country. Thankfully he recovered and went to England to play in the Lancashire league but had to fight for his place in the Ragama team as they had already found suitable replacements. Daminda missed the first few matches at the start of the season but in his third game produced a superb piece of seam bowling. His career and season’s best figures helped Ragama regain the top spot in Premier Tier A. “That nasty knee injury was a definite setback to what would have been a promising career for Daminda,” said Ragama CC president Roshan Abeysinghe. “If not for the injury he would have been among the top flight fast bowlers in the national squad.”Points tableTier A

Steve Bruce has now revealed an update on Martin Dubravka’s injury ahead of Newcastle United’s game at home to Leeds United in the Premier League.

The Lowdown: Setback

Speaking in his pre-game press conference ahead of the match against Burnley in the Carabao Cup second round back in August, Bruce had confirmed (via Sky Sports) that Dubravka had suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.

The Slovakia international’s wounds had got ‘infected’, which set him back a ‘couple of weeks’.

The Latest: Update

Speaking ahead of the clash against Marcelo Bielsa’s team at St. James’ Park, Bruce has now revealed that Dubravka is ‘coming along nicely’, and added that the wound which was badly affected has ‘gone’.

Bruce says that the goalkeeper is ‘hoping to be back on the grass next week’, which is ‘good news’ for the North East club.

The Verdict: Big boost

It certainly is great news to hear that Dubravka should be back playing on Tyneside soon.

Third-choice ‘keeper Freddie Woodman has had to step in so far this season given that Karl Darlow has also not been available, and has conceded the most goals in the top flight (12) after four games (Premier League).

Os dois atletas propuseram um desafio para ajudar quem realmente necessita neste inverno: o vencedor do San-São terá de doar agasalhos a instituições de caridade que atuam nesta causa. Douglas e Longuine estão empolgados com o desafio.

– A ideia é de, realmente, estarmos nessa causa juntos, de ajudar aquelas pessoas que mais necessitam, que não têm o que vestir, não têm um agasalho para vestir no frio. Fico feliz por participar dessa causa nobre, acho que todos deveriam sempre procurar ajudar o próximo. É uma felicidade muito grande ter hoje a condição de ajudar – disse o meia santista.

– A ideia do desafio é poder ajudar. É uma causa bem legal, poder contribuir com o próximo. A ideia principal é essa, poder ajudar aquelas pessoas que mais necessitam. Estamos no período de inverno, de muito frio, e acho bacana poder ajudar um pouco, fazer a alegria dessas pessoas que tanto precisam desse pequeno gesto nosso – completou o são-paulino.

Após os dez anos em que atuaram juntos nas categorias de base do Juventude e chegaram inclusive a dividir alojamento no clube, Rafael Longuine e Douglas tomaram rumos diferentes. Apesar da distância, a dupla sempre manteve o carinho e a torcida pelo sucesso do companheiro.

– Reencontrar o Douglas quase dez anos depois, ainda mais em um clássico, é um momento de felicidade. É um amigo que fiz no futebol, jogamos juntos no juvenil. Depois, perdemos um pouco de contato, ele foi para fora do Brasil. Agora, retornou em um grande clube. Sempre torço pelo sucesso e pela felicidade dele, espero que possa conquistar ainda muitas coisas na vida profissional. É uma felicidade muito grande viver este momento. O Douglas sempre foi um cara do bem, que batalhou bastante e sempre foi correto com as coisas. Lembro bastante da humildade dele – elogiou Longuine.

– Fico feliz por poder reencontrar o Rafael em um clássico após quase dez anos de termos jogado no Juventude, onde praticamente começamos juntos. O futebol nos levou a caminhos diferentes, cada um foi para um lado, mas minha torcida por ele sempre permaneceu. Hoje, somos adversários, mas continuo torcendo pela felicidade e sucesso dele porque é uma grande pessoa. O que me marcou bastante é que o Rafael sempre foi um cara muito alegre. Nós morávamos no alojamento embaixo do estádio e ele adorava cantar com outro amigo nosso, que tocava violão. Faziam uma cantoria lá no alojamento. A gente gostava porque fazia a alegria da rapaziada, foi algo que me marcou bastante – revelou Douglas.

Em caso de vitória do Peixe de Longuine, a instituição que receberá as doações dos atletas na Baixada é a Casa da Criança de Santos. Se o Tricolor conquistar a vitória, no entanto, a Casa Emaus será a beneficiada na capital paulista.

Os reforços trazidos para o resto do Campeonato Brasileiro não são a única novidade no São Paulo. No clássico contra o Santos, no dia 9, na Vila Belmiro, o clube deve estrear a sua camisa 2, que mantém a tradição de ser listrada verticalmente com as cores do clube e tem poucas mudanças.

A principal novidade está nos ombros, que ficarão totalmente cobertos de vermelho, incluindo nas costas. A opção limita as listas verticais, que mantêm largura similar ao modelo que vem sendo usado pela equipe desde o ano passado.

Outro inovação está na ausência da gola. Pouco abaixo do pescoço, aparece uma faixa preta, triangular, também fazendo um limite às listras verticais tricolores que predominam no peito e na barriga.

O modelo foi vazado nos últimos meses nas redes sociais e, mesmo diante de tantas críticas, a fornecedora Under Armour, manteve o seu planejamento para o material, sem realizar alterações. Mas, oficialmente, a empresa não confirma qualquer detalhe sobre o uniforme antes do lançamento.

A venda para os torcedores começará também na primeira quinzena de julho. O modelo deve ser adotado na maioria das partidas do Tricolor como visitante até a metade de 2018. Os preços oficiais seguem sob sigilo.
