علق يورجن كلوب على الإصابات في فريق ليفربول، قبل مواجهة ساوثهامبتون، غدًا الأربعاء على ملعب أنفيلد رود، ضمن مباريات دور الـ16 من بطولة كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي.

India’s coach Anil Kumble has once again thrown his weight firmly behind Cheteshwar Pujara. Speaking strongly two days after Virat Kohli had verified former selector Sandeep Patil’s revelation that the team management had spoken to Pujara about his strike rate, Kumble said strike rate was relevant for bowlers in Test cricket, not batsmen. In a team you need different characters, different quality players. Players whose skill sets are suited to different challenges that happen in a Test match. According to The Mirror, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his petrochemicals firm INEOS are in pole position to buy Manchester United and are likely to clinch a deal at some point this month.

The report states that Ratcliffe wants to take a controlling stake while allowing Joel and Avram Glazer 'temporarily' retain a 20% stake in the club.

However, there is a clause to phase out Glazer family involvement in time, according to The Financial Times, who say that all six Glazers may stay on at the club but would be contractually bound to an agreement that would force them out in the coming years with INEOS purchasing their remaining shares.

As per Sky Sports News, Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has submitted what he has signalled will be his final bid to try and buy the Premier League giants.

Sheikh Jassim wants to acquire 100% control of Manchester United and is willing to clear £1 billion of club debt alongside ploughing money into infrastructure and other projects.

موسم 2018\2019 لم يغب محمد صلاح عن أي مباراة في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، وشارك في الـ38 مباراة، وكانت إصابته في أكتوبر 2018 مع المنتخب المصري ضد إي سواتيني، في تصفيات كأس الأمم الإفريقية 2019، ليعود إلى الريدز بعدما تأكد غيابه عن لقاء الإياب.

كانت أولى مبارياته في الدوري الإنجليزي بعد العودة من الإصابة ضد هيدرسفيلد، وسجل هدف الفوز على ملعب جون سميث.

مع ليفربول تعرض لإصابة في مواجهة نيوكاسل بالجولة 37، أجبرته على مغادرة الملعب في الدقيقة 73، وغيابه عن إياب نصف نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا أمام برشلونة، في المباراة التاريخية التي فاز بها الريدز 4-0، وظهر الملك المصري بقميصه الشهير ” never give up” الذي أصبح أيقونيًا بعد تلك الريمونتادا التاريخية.

لم يسجل محمد صلاح في مباراته الأولى بعد الإصابة والتي كانت ضد ولفرهامبتون، لكنه حصل بنهايتها على جائزة الحذاء الذهبي للدوري الإنجليزي بالتساوي مع ساديو ماني وأوباميانج.

وفي المباراة التالية سجل ضد توتنهام في نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا، وجلب لقب ذات الأذنين بالفوز 2-0 بتسجيل ديفوك أوريجي الهدف الثاني.

في الموسم التالي، 2019\2020، غاب محمد صلاح عن مواجهة مانشستر يونايتد في 20 أكتوبر، بسبب الإصابة 5 أكتوبر في الكاحل ضد ليستر سيتي، قبل أن يعود أمام توتنهام 27 من الشهر ذاته، ويسجل هدفًا في فوز الريدز على سبيرز.

في نوفمبر، أصيب محمد صلاح أمام مانشستر سيتي في الكاحل، وغاب عن منتخب مصر وليفربول، حتى 30 نوفمبر، وشارك ضد برايتون لكنه غادر غاضبًا، بعدما قرر كلوب اقحام لالانا بدلًا منه، وكان يبدو عليه عدم التعافي بنسبة 100%، وهو ما جعله يغيب عن الديربي ضد إيفرتون.

عاد محمد صلاح أمام بورنموث وسجل هدفًا وصنع آخر، في فوز الريدز 3-0 بملعب فيتاليتي في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

غاب محمد صلاح عن مواجهة إيفرتون أيضًا في نفس الموسم لإصابته في التدريبات، قبل أن يعود ضد كريستال بالاس ويسجل ويصنع في الفوز 4-0 لـ ليفربول.

موسم 2020\2021، غاب محمد صلاح عن مواجهة ليستر سيتي في نوفمبر 2020، بسبب إصابته بـ فيروس كورونا، عندما كان في معسكر المنتخب المصري.

عاد بعد ذلك محمد صلاح في مواجهة برايتون، وسجل هدفًا في تعادل الريدز أمام طيور النورس.

في الموسم التالي 2021\2022، غاب محمد صلاح عن ليفربول بسبب الاستدعاء لقائمة منتخب مصر في أمم إفريقيا، وعندما عاد احتاج لـ 3 مباريات من أجل تسجيل أول أهدافه، وكان ضد نورويتش سيتي، بعدما فشل في زيارة شباك ليستر سيتي وبيرنلي.

في موسم 2022\2023، لم يتعرض النجم المصري لإصابات تمنعه من المشاركة، فلم تمنعه الإصابة أمام برايتون في النصف الأول من الموسم من المشاركة ضد كريستال بالاس.

في الموسم الحالي 2023\2024، غاب محمد صلاح كما ذكرنا عن ليفربول بسبب المشاركة مع المنتخب، ولكن الإصابة في الخلفية أجبرت أسطورة ليفربول للابتعاد أكثر عن المشاركة.

برينتفورد الآن قد يكون الضحية الجديدة للملك المصري، الذي دائمًا ما يعود أقوى بعد الإصابة والغياب، خاصة وأنه الفريق الذي خسر من الريدز بثلاثية نظيفة، كان لـ صلاح نصيب الأسد بتسجيله ثنائية.

Whilst their 2004 demotion came as a shock to most, their 16-year failure to return to the top flight surpassed all of these emotions. They had gone from a sleeping giant to a comatose one, and it felt like no matter what occurred they would never earn that romantic Premier League return.

That was until Marcelo Bielsa was appointed, and his magic enacted.

His team was steely and hard-working, completely enamoured with a hard-working philosophy that saw them dominate the division. It was the perfect storm, with Kalvin Phillips conducting from within its eye.

An academy graduate handed a show of faith in a league where the top-flight often send their youngsters to develop, he instead was allowed to learn on the job, quickly becoming their most influential player. That promotion year saw the 27-year-old maintain a 7.28 average rating, alongside 1.8 key passes and 2.6 tackles per game, via Sofascore.

Now, in an effort to repeat that feat at the first time of asking, perhaps they could once again seek to put their faith in the academy, with Sean McGurk surely high on the list for those deserving of a first-team berth.

Who is Sean McGurk?

His potential inclusion within the senior squad is made all the more likely given the expected exit of Luis Sinisterra, who The Athletic suggest could seek to move, with a reported release clause encouraging this. With the possibility of relegation now a reality, the Colombian will be a fine signing for someone out there should he find fitness.

After all, his tally of seven goals in all competitions, whilst slightly underwhelming, was largely marred by a lack of fitness throughout the term.

His failure to adapt to the physicality of the English game cost him, especially after the 23-year-old joined having hit 23 goals and 14 assists the season prior in Holland.

Although having posted numbers nowhere near this level, McGurk has remained one of Michael Skubala's most consistent performers from that left flank, with his six goal contributions in 17 games a solid return. He has been a mainstay in the side that recently earned promotion into the Premier League 1 Division 1.

Seeking to cut in from his wing onto that favoured right foot, the 20-year-old boasts similarly blistering pace and sought to outline his other outstanding attributes after joining the club in 2021: "People describe me as a player who is quite exciting, I like to create goals and score goals and I think that is the strongest part of my game."

Whilst that is yet to shine through in the U21s, perhaps a promotion into the senior squad could see him realise this potential at the Championship level. After all, it only takes the new manager to hand him a few starts to figure out whether he can terrorise the division.

With his frightening speed, quick feet and youthful energy, that is sure to be a given though.
